Fees

My fees are typically based on a range of factors, including the costs that would be recoverable in the Employment Relations Authority (or other forum) should the client's claim be successful.  Another factor is my standard hourly rate, which is $350 per hour plus GST for employment matters.  However, I will always adjust my fee where billing at the hourly rate alone would result in an unreasonably high fee.  My aim is to provide a cost-effective service which gets positive results as quickly as possible.  

 

I am happy to negotiate a specific fee for clients who are experiencing significant financial pressure or for particular kinds of work.

 

In exceptional cases, particularly where an issue of public importance is involved, I am prepared to take on work pro bono.
